Pula once again proves to be an outstanding World Championship location!

On Sunday 25th May Pula said farewell to the dancers, teachers, judges, parents and the audience that came to the 12th World Championship in Dance Sport. It was the second time when the local organisers Tasa Art Dance Studio were granted permission to stage this world class event. The championship held with the assistance from the Council of Pula and the Pula Tourist Office as well as the local sponsors attracted over 1400 dancers with 22 national flags proudly displayed across three stages.

Dance Show, Belly Dance, Waacking, Tap.. these are just some of the disciplines that could be seen over the four competition days with Free Dance and Hip Hop Battles being introduced for the first time.  Another novelty was the appearance of guest judges in Hip Hop which was warmly welcomed both by the dancers and the officials. Washington originally from Brazil and P-Dog from Germany sat on a judging panel for Hip Hop, House, Electric and Break Dance as well as for the battles. Apart from being the adjudicators they delivered master classes in Hip Hop and House plus wowed the crowd with their stunning performances. The introduction of guest professionalists turned out extremely popular and will be continued in future competitions.

The IDF would like to congratulate all the participants but mostly Tatiana and Robert Ban for their ability to host such a beautiful, multicultural, friendly and professional competition. Well done!
