2011-07-17

With just under a year left to the 2012 World Championship in Eastbourne, England, the British organisers are working around the clock to ensure they will provide all members of the IDF family with the most incredible and exciting experience ever.

The stunning seaside location of Eastbourne on England’s South coast coupled with arguably the IDFs most spectacular venue will undoubtedly create a World Championships not to be missed!

It has been a real community effort in preparing the town for these championships with both the Eastbourne Council and the London Borough of Newham pushing the cause. Newham has taken a real interest being the home of Fire Stead, the colourful Salsa dancer turned teacher who helped bring the championships to these shores. Fire’s passion for dance as well as his vision to coincide the event in the same year as the London Olympics has created real excitement within the wider community as well as the IDF.

Forest Gate resident Fire Stead has got moves – and the accreditations to prove it. For more than a decade he has been passing on his passion for salsa by getting hips shaking and toes tapping in Newham and beyond.
