Four unforgettable competition days in Bellaria. Thank you Italy for a memorable Dance World Championship 2015.

Over 1600 dancers representing 31 countries finished their battle for Dance World Champions titles in Bellaria, Rimini in Italy. The international crowds saw a marvellous opening parade on Wednesday 27th May followed by four days of breathtaking competitions held across three arenas.

Dancers presented their skills in over 30 disciplines ranging from Hip Hop, Jazz Funk and Popping through Dance and Free Show to Caribbean, Tap, Folk, Belly Dancing and many more. Spectators were taken aback by a variety of choreographies and excellent level of performances.

For the second time the World Championship welcomed battles held in Hip Hop, House and Break Dance. The event co-organised by the world famous SDK kept dancers of all ages battling till 5 in the morning. Our judges Kim Holmes from USA, Jimmy Yudat from France, P-Dog from Germany, New York and Sweden based Shannon and Martin Fiedler from the Czech Republik not only assessed the competitors but also joined our young stars in fun on stage and provided a variety of workshops.

Last day brought all involved a beautiful surprise - a deeply touching Festival of Different Abilities held with a loud applause of many hundred of audience. Once again performers have shown that dance is has no barriers and is a universal way to unite people of all ages, cultures, beliefs and abilities.

It was great to see multiple nations on the podium, including our newest members – Puerto Rico and India. Congratulations to all the dancers, officials, teachers, coaches, volunteers, parents and audience for being part of another wonderful event. Thank you to the representatives of Bellaria and Brexen for being here with us. Massive well done and thank you to the Italian Dance Federation – Danza in Federazione for putting together such a fantastic competition and to the towns of Bellaria and Igea Marina for their amazing hospitality.

See you all at the European Championships in Barcelona on 31st October and 1st November 2015 and at the World Championship 2016 in Brexen, Austria.
